This project started with a home that had little to no front porch presence. Scott designed and built a full covered porch from scratch — composite decking, a copper-tone standing seam metal roof, white PVC columns, and a stone veneer base with matching steps. The result is a porch that looks like it was always part of the house.

Homeowner Goal

Transform a basic front entry into a full covered porch that adds curb appeal and usable outdoor living space.

What Was Needed

The home needed a more welcoming front entry — a space that looked substantial from the street and gave the family a comfortable place to sit outside.

Scott's Approach

Scott handled the full build — framing, roofing, decking, column installation, and stone veneer work — coordinating each trade to ensure the porch tied into the existing roofline and facade seamlessly.

The Result

The finished porch gave the homeowners a striking new front elevation with real outdoor living space — a place to sit, a stronger first impression, and a significant boost to the home curb appeal.
